Denver Post, Coppercreek Camp is a cozy camp full of big adventures. We are the quintessential traditional summer camp experience providing over 50 different activities including an equestrian center, a high challenge course, waterfront, BMX and mountain biking. Through creating their own schedule, campers grow in their confidence, decision making skills and are excited about each day. Campers stay year after year because they feel connected, valued, challenged, and supported. Our mission is to make everyone who comes to camp feel like they belong and have found a place to call home. We are the perfect size as we know every camper, what excites them, if they need extra support or just an open stage to blossom, and at 90 campers a session, there are plenty of opportunities to make new friends. We are noted for our fabulous English equestrian program taught by all certified CHA instructors. Our lesson groups have a teacher to student ratio of one to three, much higher than most other summer camp programs. We also teach miniature horse driving, vaulting, jumping as well as beginner through advanced riding. Our very popular teen leadership programs fill every summer because teenagers are engaged with innovative programming created specifically for them. CIT’s can work in Traditional camp activities with counselors and younger campers. Trekkers head out for adventures in caving, backpacking and white water rafting. We enjoy working with teenagers and welcome their spontaneity, energy, and humor. We have been welcoming campers since 1965.
